To ease working with a large number of stations, the stations may have been divided into groups and subgroups. This enables you to view only a selected subset of stations at a time. The groups can be based on any criteria, for example, geographic location or administrative area, such as districts or depots. Or, for example, all bridge stations can form a group.
For information on creating and editing the groups, see Configuring Station Groups.
If groups have been defined in your system, you can select a group or
a subgroup for viewing from the drop-down list in the application header:
After selecting a group or a subgroup only the stations in that group or subgroup are displayed. If you want to see the other stations, select another group or subgroup from the drop-down list in the application header.
One station can be part of several groups that were made for different purposes. For example, a station could belong to the "Bridge stations" group, and to the "First priority stations" group. Typically you will also have a group that lists all the stations in the system.
