Archived Data Basics

The data displayed by default is "live" data, that is, current data and any past data or forecast data available 24 hours before and after the current time.

However, when using the Archive data view, you select a date and time from the past and the system will display all the data and views as they would have seen presented at the selected time. For example, you can see which forecasts were available at the selected time.

Viewing Archived Data

To view archived data with the Archive mode:

  1. In the application header, click the Archive button:

  2. In the calendar that is displayed, pick the year, month, and date you wish to view. Finally, select the start time and click Select.

The background color of the application header changes to indicate archived data. Also the application header changes to show the selected archive date and time and the button for returning back to viewing live data:

Wait a while until the system has loaded the archived data in the views.

All data displayed in all the views is now archived data from the selected date and time.

NOTE: Some data will only be available for a limited time period. For example, camera images might only be stored for a few months, depending on the data retention policies used.

You can also scroll the archived data in 24-hour periods by clicking the arrows next to the calendar.

Viewing Live Data

To continue viewing live data, click the Return Live button in the application header.
